Dyson Airblade, awesome. One of the coolest things I've ever seen and all it does is dry your hands. If you're like me you probably favor a few tree killing paper towels over one of those loud hand dryer things. Kill trees no more, the Airblade makes drying your hands an experience. I've seen 2 of these in my life, Bascom Hall and last week at the Hyatt in Chicago (supposedly there's one in College Library too). They are amazing. I suggest you use one as soon as possible.

No More Broken Shot Glasses
Check out the Squishy Shot Glass Set and never break shots again. I could see that red one doubling as sweet Clown Nose for your halloween costume. Practical? maybe. Sticky nose? yes.
Dead Phillies Phan.
Seen the video of the Phillie fan getting drilled with a forty? When you're climbing a traffic light there's always the fear of falling, getting knocked out with a forty and then falling is usually fear #27 for me.

This is messed.
This seems kind of bogus. This effect, called copralalia, is only supposed to effect a small portion of the people with it. And of course the editing must make the tics even more embarrassing. It did however make for a pretty good South Park Episode.
Fuck Mike Miesen!
That is definitely the funniest thing I've seen to get the vote out. We're all doomed come next tuesday. Send it to any friend who may not vote.
Cookie Cakes!
I suggest looking into the Cookie Cakes at Sam's Club, while not as delicious as the state street original, they're double decker nature and discount warehouse price make them a must by for any toilet paper run or party snack.
Greg Poppavich is NOT (remove: now) COOL!
Ignore the rest of this, while the beginning was cool, repeatedly using hack a shaq in the first half is not cool.
Big game underway right now, Spurs vs. Suns 6 months exactly from the night that the Spurs eliminated the suns from the playoffs. Exciting game from two big rivals, the spurs have eliminated the suns for a few seasons now and there's no shortage of beef.
Case in point, Shaq coming out in the offseason and saying that the Hack a Shaq strategy, used by the spurs, was basically for pussies. First off: it is, Second: big fella hit your damn free throws. Rick Barry has offered to teach shaq to shoot between his legs and gurantees he'll be shooting over 70% but the Big Cactus, Shaq Deez, or Usain Bolton, refuses. Personally, I'd love to see that for entertainment and to see his pct go up.
So all that being said, how does the game start? No less than 5 seconds into the game Michael Finley (Wisco) grabs Shaq in a bear hug and after about 3 seconds the refs realize that's illegal and blow the whistle. Everyone was confused, no one even thought hack a shaq was possible, certainly not this early in the game. But, one look over to the bench made it all clear, Captain Ahab the crazy old seaman with Yellow teeth, none other than Greg Poppavich, is giving shaq two thumbs up.
Jokes on you Deez, game on.

Best Bball Shoe Ever
The Nike Hyperdunk is the best basketball shoe ever made. Nike spent more time, energy, and new technology than has ever been spent on any shoe. It's the lightest shoe around and still offers amazing ankle support and stability. Needless to say this shoe appears to be worn by some 70% of the league and yours truly.
Guy Ritchie, Free at Last
With Guy Ritchie (of Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch fame) finally done with that evil woman Madonna, he now has a new movie coming out. While his last release was a film called Revolver, which featured Andre 3000, Big Pussy and no American release, his new film RocknRolla seems to be him going back to what he knows best. While some may say all his movies are the same, I say who gives a fuck, they're the same in the way that they're fucking awesome. So check out the trailer.

MTV MUSIC?
Evidentally someone at MTV has lost it. They've decided to do something with all the Music Videos they have, and while I'm sure youtube does a very similar and able job, props to MTV who brought us The Hills, Carson Daly and now MTV MUSIC a site with every video they have, supposedly.
This is the first video I thought of for a few reasons, first someone sang it in my office today and it was stuck in my head all day, second it's a sweet song, and finally Chevy Chase is the man (while paul simon is a little man).

You Gotta Repeat to Threepeat

Gotta holler at the boys (or cha bois?). UW Rugby just finished off an undefeated in state record on their way to a state championship, and has now advanced from regionals on to the Midwest Final Four (Last loss in state play came the first time they experimented with putting my brother, the current flyhalf, in over me, whoops). This marks the second year the team has moved onto the final four and finished as a top team in the state.
Of course they did it in true Badger Rugby style, beating Whitewater twice in one season, and boozing the whole time through. There's nobody else I'd rather go to war with, or completely lose my mind with than everyone of these boys.
Much love and congrats, best of luck over the next two weeks.
(Pic is actually from Milwaukee Cup last falls, which they best get again this year)
DerekinChile
For anyone who didn't know, I gotta give a shout out to my boy Derek who's living large down in "Santiago de Chile" which my 4.5 years of spanish translates to "The Land of a Thousand Dogs." I visited the country last spring break with the rugby team, and while I'm sure our experiences will undoubtedly differ, I trust my man will find the time to take a shit on a public street.
Hide your weapons
A good friend of mine doesn't feel safe without having a weapon hidden within arms reach. This meant there were regularly knives, pool cues, billy clubs and a wide array of other safety devices turning up around his apartment (often while drinking). So Mr. Shackleford, sleep well, this may find it's way under your xmas tree. From James McAdam, who has some other cool things on his site.
Lendale White is Fat
The Tennessee Titans winning all these games this season, with no mention of Vince Young, is an unbelievable story. Two things come to mind: are they really this good and more importantly, how do they manage to feed anyone else on the team after Lendale White hits the buffet?
The man is huge, he looks like a fat baby out there. I always thought he was a good running back, but watching most of his runs he basically just goofs up to the line of scrimmage where he hits one of his own blockers and then gets pushed or pulled backward. And of course no White run would be completely without him slapping the ball and being all upset that he didn't go further, while not so deep inside I'm sure he's really happy that he didn't have to run that far and can now go back to the sideline and continue eating cookies.
He hardly finishes this run, the longest of his career, probably the longest he's ever ran continuously. Pretty sure he didn't do the 40 at the combine and I still wonder if that was mainly because he found out they wouldn't let him take a break after 20 yards.
This is a great call:

Wow, this is sad.
First night of the NBA tonight, I'll post more on this later, but I just saw this video. There are three very important things to take away from this.
1) Kobe is unreal, this is some of the best D ever played by a great team that was committed to winning, and yet he is still hitting shots with some of their best D.
2) The Celtics, their coaching staff, and especially Tom Thibadeau are amazing.
3) MJ never had to deal with this.

Badger Update
Just saw on Sportscenter that there's a chance the Cowboys may start Brooks Bollinger this weekend against the Giants. It's always good to see Badgers plugging along in the NFL, especially our quarterbacks who have been winners but certainly never stars. Bollinger finished his badger career with a 30-12 record, 3-0 bowl record, and over 1,700 hundred rushing yards and 26 rushing tds.
That's cool, and while it's cool to be playing for the Cowboys Stocco played the Josh Childress card long before going overseas had hit the NBA. Last word from Stocco camp is that he had signed with a professional football team in Italy. When I first heard the story he was supposed to be the highest paid player in the league at 60k a season. I just saw this though about one of his teamates: "Wide receiver Craig McIntyre, one of Grisham's main sources, has played the past two seasons for the Parma Panthers, who paid him about $1,300 a month his first season and about $1,900 a month the next." So 60 may even be a lot for Stocco's prized arm but at the very least it's good for him. More story here.
